Broadway 10 Bar & Chophouse is a steakhouse that challenges expectations. They’re creators of experience, masters of their craft. They challenge the status quo in the kitchen; why not in their advertising?
We produced a video spot and accompanying social media assets to promote the restaurant with an intriguing story and just the right amount of dry, sophisticated humor that let their disruptive brand voice shine.

Thanks to an oversaturated market inundated with repetitive advertising tropes (you’re already picturing a glistening steak falling through the air in slow motion, aren’t you), executing on the right concept was critical. We needed the right tension and a dash of humor to stand out against the noise.
We took a hard left and focused on what makes Broadway 10 so much better than everyone else, eventually arriving at the winning idea: this steak is so tender, it could’ve been a hitman’s last job.

Prepping the restaurant as a set was straightforward — figuring out how to film a scene in a walk-in freezer wasn’t. The client wanted the scene to be as believable as possible, and that meant creating a convincing set and using realistic props.
Unfortunately, we happened to be fresh out of 300lb slabs of beef and food handling permits. Fortunately, we happen to be creatives. We brought an empty warehouse to life as the freezer and hand-painted styrofoam pieces carved into “meat.” You can’t even tell the difference until you take a bite.
















Results
Broadway 10 ended up with a memorable spot that set them apart from the rest of the steakhouse scene with a touch of clever humor. The set design created the perfect narrative background for the storytelling of the script.
The spot won 4 Addy Awards.
